Callum Delhoy will be the Liberal Democrat candidate for the constituency of Selby and Ainsty at the General Election on June 8th 2017.

Callum has a proven track record of previously campaigning for Civil Liberties and Environmental Protection; as well as organising much of the EU referendum campaigning in York, and will join the many Selby and Ainsty residents who disagree with Theresa May’s hard Brexit.

Liberal Democrat candidate, Callum Delhoy, said: “41% of Selby and Ainsty residents voted to Remain in the EU and many more oppose the reckless decision of this hard-right Conservative government to pursue a ‘hard Brexit’. Only the Lib Dems here in Selby and Ainsty are truly fighting her plans and fought to Remain.”

“The Labour Party is in an absolute mess, fighting amongst themselves rather than acting as the effective opposition this country so needs.”

A recent internal poll by the Conservative party predicted they could lose the 27 seats they gained from the Lib Dems at the last election.

Tim Farron MP, leader of the Lib Dems said,” “This election is your chance to change the direction of our country.

“If you want to avoid a disastrous Hard Brexit. If you want to keep Britain in the Single Market. If you want a Britain that is open, tolerant and united, this is your chance.

“Only the Liberal Democrats can prevent a Conservative majority.”
